Arrival & Welcome to the Escape

As the sun rises over the rolling hills of Italy, the Escape officially begins. Guests arrive throughout the day and are warmly greeted by our team. There’s a sense of anticipation in the air—soft smiles, warm welcomes, and the quiet excitement of stepping into something special.

Once gathered, we travel together to our home for the week: a stunning Palazzo with timeless architecture, serene courtyards, and charm, it offers both a trip back in time and a deep sense of calm.

After everyone settles in, we come together for a Welcome Dinner & Drinks beneath the evening sky. Over regional dishes and local wine, we ease into connection—with each other, with the space, and with the rhythm of retreat life.

There’s no agenda tonight. Just great food, thoughtful conversation, and the beginning of something unforgettable.

Family Dinner

A Typical Italian Dinner Experience

Dinner in Italy is never rushed. It’s a ritual—a celebration of flavor, season, and togetherness. As the sun dips below the hills, the table becomes a gathering place for conversation, laughter, and the joy of shared food.

A typical Italian dinner unfolds in leisurely courses:

  • Antipasto begins the meal—small plates like marinated vegetables, olives, cured meats, and local cheeses meant to awaken the appetite.

  • Primo follows: a warm first course, often pasta, risotto, or soup, rich with regional ingredients and handmade care.

  • Secondo brings the main dish—grilled meats, fresh fish, or a rustic vegetarian creation—often served alongside Contorni, or side dishes like seasonal greens or roasted vegetables.

  • Dolce, the sweet course, may be simple yet elegant: panna cotta, tiramisu, or fresh fruit with local honey.

Throughout the meal, carafes of local wine flow easily, and no one glances at the clock. Instead, people linger, savoring both the food and the company.

Dinner isn’t just nourishment—it’s connection. It’s where stories are told, friendships deepen, and time slows down just enough to taste life more fully.
